A lot of talk at Elland Road is now about Chris Wood and his importance to Leeds - whilst it is true that Wood is important to Christiansen's side, Jansson is arguably the club's most influential player and one that is simply irreplaceable, as he is a leader both on and off the field.

Wood is eager to complete a transfer to Turf Moor to fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League.

However, the Yorkshire club are determined to keep Wood at Elland Road, and that's led to claims of the player being offered a new and improved contract.

The Clarets have been after Wood since losing Andre Gray to Watford and had an initial £12m offer rejected, with Leeds subsequently offering the player a new contract.

White House disbands another advisory council

South Korea's Moon Confident There'll Be No War With North
Bannon, Trump's chief strategic, was quoted Wednesday as saying that "there's no military solution" to the North Korean problem. Moon was elected in May after a near-decade of conservative rule that saw animosity deepen between the rival Koreas.

Chelsea boss Conte laughs off Costa criticism
Conte belatedly signed an improved contract, although not an extension to the deal which has two years left to run. So he's actually no better off than last season.

Wood has been with Leeds since the summer of 2015 and for them has notched forty-four goals in eighty-six appearances in all competitions, a tally which includes thirty in the Championship last season making him the division's top scorer.

The New Zealand global scored 27 goals last season, and has already netted this campaign, the target man is a mighty presence within England's second flight.

He feels given the ongoing negotiations it would not be right for him to pull on a white shirt.

Being proactive. Because if it isn't, and Wood wants out, Leeds will struggle to score all season and a promotion might not be on the cards.
