Yu Yureka 2 with 16-megapixel camera, 4GB RAM launched in India

The Yu Yureka 2 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. Yu Yureka Black is priced at 8,999.

Dubbed as Yu Yureka 2, the smartphone is priced at Rs 11,999 and the smartphone will be exclusively available during the Flipkart's Big Billion Day on 20th September.

Micromax sister brand, Yu Televentures has today added a new member to its smartphone portfolio with the launch of Yureka 2 in India.

In any case, with this launch, Yu Yureka 2 becomes the sixth smartphone under the Yureka series.

The Yureka 2 has a 5.5-inch HD display with a 2.5D curved glass, and impressive optics. It sports a 16-megapixels rear camera with autofocus, flash, night mode, and multi shots. There is also a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera which unlocks the device. Furthermore, the Yureka 2 packs an 8MP front facing selfie snapper.

The onboard storage is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card.

The 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM device also has quick charge 3.0 - a distinctive feature that makes the "Yureka 2" best-in-class device for extended use and optimal performance. The phone offers dual-SIM support in which one slot accepts a micro SIM while the other a nano SIM. The Yureka 2 comes only in gold color.

All these specs seem powerful on paper, but the major let down with this device is Yu has gone with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which is extremely dated in 2017.
