Sohum Shah Stands Strong In Front Of Kangana Ranaut In Simran!

But, you can let this one pass if you are looking for a whole package.

"Arre, poori kahani toh suno!" says Praful Patel (Kangana Ranaut) to her potential husband Sameer (Sohum Shah) in one of the most moving scenes of Hansal Mehta's Simran. And yet, most people who've seen will be unanimous in one thing - the film is flawed but is definitely and absolutely worth a watch. And yet, she brings a freshness to a "been there, done that character" with her brilliant performance. The protagonist, a woman with an undaunted spirit, lives and loves by her own set of rules. She doesn't think twice about slipping into a life of crime just to support her "character flaws". Her character in the movie is vulnerable, blunt, fearless and honest. A baffling cross between straight forward and naive, Praful firmly stops her cute possession for the day in moving further in the act without a condom. Cheers. SIMRAN knows what she wants but sadly, the movie doesn't give her more profound strength the way QUEEN or TANU WEDS MANU (series) did.

While SIMRAN has been in the news thanks to the lead actress making multiple headlines on her personal front, initial box office reports suggest that the movie has opened on a disastrous note with occupancy rates during morning shows being pegged at a meagre 12%. It is not that our screens are getting affected because of them or vice versa. "I will find something sinful in this sin city" she quips before entering the jungle.

She said the child sex ratio in the state had also taken a hit with some of the districts reported the ratio at below 500.

EU Cancels Myanmar Trade Visit as Rohingya Violence Rages On
Since August alone, more than 270,000 Rohingya families have fled across the border to Muslim-majority Bangladesh. Activists say more than 100 villagers, women and children among them, have been killed by security forces.

NBA To Vote on Draft Lottery Reform, Player Rest Guidelines
He would have the authority to fine teams for resting multiple players in a single game or healthy players in a national TV game. Currently, the NBA's worst three teams bear 25.5 percent, 19.9 percent, and 15.6 percent odds, respectively, at the No. 1 pick.

In his 3-star review, Umesh Punwani of, recommended the film and said, "Watch it only if you've an appetite of digesting unconventional films". She simply does not make you feel for her.

Like the yesteryear Simran, Praful too is an NRI. As an audience, you hardly get involved in Simran's life and troubles before you are taken on yet another adventure. There is drama, comedy, romance, an emotional story and coming of age tale, all rolled into one.

Kangana's specific cases of conflict also co-exist with her take on the industry in general. Marked by a sparkling performance by its lead, the film is definitely charming in parts. But can it, like its tagline says, break free and fly? Ranaut's national award-winning acting and Hansal's direction had us interested till the first half. This is a bad move, leading to a prolonged climactic chase sequence featuring a leading lady who - we were told near the start of the film - is a poor driver. "The last half hour has cringeworthy pacing and feels more mean-spirited than the rest of the film for no good reason".

Frankly, you can't emotionally invest in Simran or root for her as much as you might want to. And that's disappointing, considering that's exactly not what a film about a woman on the run from gambling mafia should be like.
