It's not Left 4 Dead, but keeping the premise of a survival-action and eliminating the horror part comes Square Enix 2018 title Left Alive.

The first trailer of the game reveals the post-apocalyptic world where the game will unfold.

The new IP was revealed as a teaser trailer during the PlayStation Press Conference, but it sounds like we'll definitely be seeing and hearing more about it in this week's Tokyo Game Show. Perhaps more updates and gameplay could be offered on September 21st when the Tokyo Game Show begins? In the mid-nineties, Square Enix (then just Squaresoft) released a tactical RPG series called Front Mission.

At a quick glance, you may feel as though Left Alive belongs somewhere within the Metal Gear family.

As for character design, Yoji Shinkawa will taking charge. Yanase was previously involved in Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Xenoblade Chronicles X. Left Alive is scheduled to be out in 2018 for PS4 and PC.

The director of Left Alive is Toshifumi Nabeshina, known for his production on the Armored Core series, Chromehounds, and Kojima's upcoming Death Stranding.
