Sony Xperia XZ1 With 19MP Motion Eye Camera Launched at Rs

Sony has now launched its premium flagship Xperia XZ1 in India on Monday.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 comes with a 2,700 mAh battery.

When it comes to the Xperia XZ1 specifications, Sony has given it a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display. It features a 5.5-inch full HD Optic AMOLED screen with 1,920x1,080 pixel (401 ppi pixel density), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, an Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, and a 3,300mAh (non-removable) battery with Dash Charge technology (5V, 4A).

It's worth noting that across the board, the 8th-generation of processors is mostly higher than that of previous generations. It seems that Intel is trying to steal some of Ryzen's thunder with the desktop Coffee Lake parts.

In India, it is being priced at INR 44,990 ($690) and is available starting today. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with X16 LTE. But Sony says that you can use your 3D face scans and overlay them on game characters, which sounds like an interesting application.

The Xperia Xz1 will be available in Moonlit Blue, Venus Pink and Warm Silver colors. The phone comes with 4GB RAM. According to Sony, the USP of the smartphone is said to be its 23MP rear camera and battery life. The internal storage of the phone is 64GB and it can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. Other connectivity options include dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD, GPS, USB 3.1 with Type C, and NFC. But with this generation's flagships costing over Rs 60,000, it is a relief to see Sony at a sub-Rs 50k price point.
