American Idol Officially Started Filming, & Ryan Seacrest Documented Its First Day

ABC/Eric LiebowitzFans tuning into ABC's reboot of American Idol next year won't have to worry about the show getting bogged down with drama between the judges. "No one's saying 'take away you guns, ' but we don't necessarily need assault rifles".

The new judges of American Idol gathered together for the first time on Wednesday, and shared their devastation and hope for change in the wake of the mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas that killed 59 and left over 500 injured over the weekend.

Bryan, 41, noted his close friendship with Jason Aldean, who was onstage when the gunman started firing into the crowd from the 32nd floor of the nearby Mandalay Bay Hotel.

While Bryan, who's now headlining his annual Farm Tour, didn't offer specifics, Perry quickly chimed in with a call to action and legislation around firearms.
