Arby's to debut Venison and Elk burgers nationwide

The venison sandwiches were a sensation a year ago, selling out in a matter of minutes in the stories where they were available.

With deer season fast approaching, Arby's has just laid out plans of its own on how to celebrate.

Just like previous year, the restaurant chain uses a New Zealand supplier that sells grass-fed free-range venison.

Now Arby's is relaunching the sandwich, made with thick-cut red tailed deer farm-raised in New Zealand nationwide on October 21. The Atlanta, Georgia-based chain served limited edition venison sandwiches in five states a year ago, which were snapped up by an enthusiastic public within hours at participating restaurants, the company states. Additionally, limited-edition elk sandwiches will be sold at three stores in Colorado, Montana and Wyoming.

Arby's Venison Sandwich will only be available in limited quantities.

Taylor sure hit the nail on the head with his remarks, because elk meat might very well just be the best-tasting meat on the planet, and it's about time someone said it!

He calls it the "biggest venison promotion in the world any restaurant" has ever done.

The sandwich features a thick-cut venison steak, as well as crispy onions topped with a juniper berry sauce, served on a toasted specialty roll. The sandwich has a tender elk steak topped with blackberry port steak sauce and crispy onions.

The chain is also experimenting with an elk sandwich.
