Chester Bennington's 'Carpool Karaoke' Episode Airs Three Months After His Death

Chester Bennington, pictured performing during KOMP'S Totally Politically Correct Holiday Bash at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on December 15, 2013 in Las Vegas, appeared in good spirits just days before his death, filming "Carpool Karaoke" with his Linkin Park bandmates. The episode, which is part of Apple Music's "Carpool Karaoke" series, is free for all to watch.

Bennington goes on to bring up his six children during the episode.

The episode was released with the blessing of Bennington's family and is dedicated in his honor. "This was taped July 14, 2017", a disclaimer by Apple reads before the footage begins. They kicked it off with OutKast's "Hey Ya", before moving on to Linkin Park's "Numb" and "In the End", as well as the Red Hot Chili Peppers classic "Under the Bridge".

Later in the clip, the group moves from a Cadillac SUV to a party bus, where they sing Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" and "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith.

Before Linkin Park had released the video, Corden, who executive produces the show, told the Associated Press (via People), "We will approach it in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled".
