To be clear, Razer didn't outright confirm the nature of this "biggest unveiling" and the only clue as to what new products could be announced on November 1 was given by the aforementioned promotional photo. Although the company makes no specific mention of a phone, the teaser image shared by Razer on social media hints at a portable mobile device and since it's coming out from house Razer, we can totally expect it to have some kind of gaming repercussions. We talked about how Razer is in the gaming business and how the companies products are targetted at hardcore gamers. As it suggests, Razer will introduce its new smartphone with an event organized on November 1st. Ever since Razer acquired start-up Nextbit - the company behind the Robin - speculations have been rife that Razer may launch a smartphone soon enough.

The company had previously purchased Nextbit, a smartphone maker known for its Robin phone - a phone optimised for cloud storage. Razer didn't outline its plans for Nextbit at the time, though analysts widely believed the move signaled Razer's interest in mobile devices. But it's dabbled in gaming-centric mobile devices before.

Whatever it is, we have a feeling it will be another gaming device where you can also watch your favorite TV shows and movies. That probably means that we'll see an announcement with a launch date much further away, but sometimes this stuff can be hard to predict. Razer has always had a knack for good design too, so at the very least, its phone should end up being eye-catching. When we reviewed the Robin a year ago, we were pretty impressed by its marquee cloud-based storage feature.
