Talwar couple to walk out of Dasna jail today

The certified copy of the verdict will be first sent to the special CBI court in Ghaziabad, which had convicted the dentist couple in 2013, whose order was set aside and overruled by the Allahabad High Court. "They have assured us they will visit the jail to attend to inmates every 15 days after their release", jail doctor Sunil Tyagi said.

It will be provided to a special CBI court in Ghaziabad on Monday, which will then issue an order to the Dasna prison authorities to release the couple. "The Talwars will continue to visit jail periodically so that medical assistance provided by them to inmates can continue".

"Talwars gave medical service for free and refused remuneration. If they would've taken it, amount would've been approximately Rs 49,500", he added. The Allahabad High Court had on Thursday cancelled the life sentence handed out to the Talwars by a lower court that had convicted them on the basis circumstantial evidence. "I think any time after 3 pm they (Rajesh & Nupur Talwar) should be walking out of the jail", said Tanveer Ahmed Mir, Talwars' lawyer.

The couple was initially supposed to be released on Friday. However, with delay in formalities and the court being off on Saturday and Sunday, their release got delayed till today.

Dasna (Ghaziabad) [India], October 12 (ANI): The jailor of Dasna Jail, Dr Maurya on Thursday informed that Rajesh and Nupur Talwar breathed a sigh of relief post Allahabad High Court acquitted them.

The Central Bureau of Investigation also worked along the same lines - that Aarushi and Hemraj had been caught in the sexual act by her parents.

Meer Tanvir Ahmad, the counsel for the Talwars, said that the court pointed out that there was a "strong alternative theory" in the case-the one about some outsiders being present in the flat when the murders took place. However, two days later, his body was also recovered from the terrace of the house.

Their daughter Aarushi and their help Hemraj were found murdered in their Noida home in 2008.
