Officers responded at about 12:45 p.m. and arrived as CPR was being performed on the child.

She was rushed to East Alabama Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 1:28 p.m.

Authorities later located surveillance footage showing Sadie playing behind the store with two of her siblings when she fell through.

Sadie was visting the shop with her family and had been missing for about 5 to 10 minutes before she was found unconscious in the 6-foot-deep container full of cooking grease, the Opelika-Auburn News reported.

Police say no foul play is suspected and the case is being investigated as an accidental death.
