The "Order Food" feature has been tested by the tech company over the previous year; and they have decided that it is ready to be used for real, starting from just this previous weekend. The move to present food ordering is one that enables Facebook to keep clients inside its application for longer periods, rather than seeing clients exit to different applications for normal tasks like ordering a pizza.

Facebook users in the USA can now order food using the social network's site and app.

The company says Facebook will also show you what your friends have to say about a restaurant before you make your order.

You can order a takeaway through Facebook by visiting the Order Food section in the Explore menu, browsing the options and hitting Start Order once you know what you want. Now with the new Order Food button, users will be able to order food from their favorite restaurants with a click of a button.

Facebook is also working with different restaurants directly including Box, Five Guys, Papa John's, Wingstop, TGI Friday's, Denny's, El Pollo Loco, Chipotle, Jimmy John's and Panera.

The feature is now available in the US only for iOS, Android, and desktop. For example, if you choose a restaurant and they are offering delivery services through, you can choose it and login with your current credentials.
