But it's nothing Black Panther can't handle. It's exciting to see an Earth-based Marvel film use such a vibrant color palette and imaginative style. Co-creator Stan Lee claims the name was inspired by a pulp adventure hero who has a black panther as an animal sidekick. He's handsome, he's a world-class talent, and the only thing left for him to do is to explode onto the mainstream stage. The character first made his Marvel Cinematic debut in Captain America: Civil War.
