In Demi Lovato's new YouTube documentary, Simply Complicated, she reveals that she relapsed from her eating disorder after breaking up with her longtime boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama.

Her father had a raging temper and substance abuse problems, she says. "Can't wait to share this with you guys".

This candid look inside the singer's battle with an eating disorder comes on the same day her YouTube documentary, Simply Complicated, was released online.

"When I was in a relationship with Wilmer I went three years without purging and when we broke up that's one of the first things I did".

"What started the relapse [this time] was missing Wilmer", she shared. "When I feel lonely my heart feels hungry and I end up binging".

"We talked on the plane for two hours", a conversation that Lovato doesn't even remember having.

Demi added that she found it hard to admit that she's "not perfect" while being filmed, but hopes her story will inspire others.
