According to Mashable, Amazon aims to provide clean energy power to over 3 lakh homes every year through the combined energy of its 50 renewable solar and wind projects in Ohio, Carolina, and Virginia.

Lincoln announced past year that it had secured a corporate power-purchase agreement with Amazon for 90% of the output from the 253MW project - at the time Amazon's largest-ever renewables purchase.

Vestas has teamed up with Australian clean energy company Windlab to develop the Kennedy Energy Park phase 1 in north Queensland - a region blessed by "world class" wind and solar resources, Vestas said. "It's become a very significant part of the market, and we see it continuing". Working with Amazon, the newest wind farm will be operated by Lincoln Clean Energy.

The wind farm, made up of more than 100 turbines, can produce a million megawatt hours of electricity a year, enough to power 90,000 homes. This is the 18th wind or solar project the company has launched around the United States-and it says more are on the way.
