It has been a stuttering start to the season for Jurgen Klopp's side, with the Reds having only won three of their opening eight Premier League games.

Liverpool head into the game looking to get back to winning ways in the top flight after their goalless draw with Manchester United at Anfield last weekend.

But the German, whose team enters the weekend in eighth place in the table, is adamant that they can improve on last season's fourth-placed finish and refuses to even rule out a run at the league title so early in the campaign. It's a game I think the supporters can look forward to.

Asked about Manchester City's impressive start to the season, Pochettino said in his pre-Liverpool press conference: "I think we are not going to play against Manchester City".

Jose Mourinho confirms Ibrahimovic is closing in on a return
Mourinho said in a press conference: " Paul is not here, I don't know when he comes back, when he's available, I've no idea ". SunSport told you he is back in training with the first team. "He's working here and under our control".

"We have ahead in the Premier League Liverpool and Manchester United and it will be very tough to beat them, but that is our mentality".

Of course I can play better sometimes, I know that, but I think my development has been good so far. Position-wise I think it should be possible but it is hard with the few points we have given away. Everyone wants to be part of this but there will come transfer windows and we will see what happens.

On the team's aims for the season, Can added: "If you play for a big club like Liverpool, the goal always has to be to win and you have to win titles [trophies]".

While Tottenham are in better position, and the favorites in this match, they still have not beaten the Anfield outfit since 2012. Liverpool have one of the best away supports in football and a host of fans who live in the London area.
