Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has responded to accusations of sexual harassment made by Lupita Nyong'o saying he "has a different recollection of the events" that came to light in a op-ed piece penned by the Academy Award-winning actor. The full story, which details employees' reactions to the Weinstein allegations and what they knew, can be read here.

With all of the women who have come forward, she now knows what she didn't then: Her experience wasn't isolated. At the time, Nyong'o didn't catch the signals finding Harvey to be, according to her, "pushy" and "idiosyncratic".

"Harvey led me into a bedroom - his bedroom - and announced that he wanted to give me a massage", Nyong'o recounts. I thought he was joking at first. " After the screening, we would have drinks in TriBeCa", wrote Nyong'o. She said that she was not assaulted, but she had steered clear of Weinstein since the moment she met him after he made derogatory comments about her pregnancy.

"I did not know that things could change", Nyong'o added. It culminated in a meal in NY in which Weinstein propositioned her - and then, when she turned him down, hinted that her acting career would suffer, she wrote. "I was part of a growing community of women who were secretly dealing with harassment by Harvey Weinstein" Nyong'o wrote. "It felt like both a threat and a reassurance at the same time; of what, I couldn't be sure".
