Recollecting some key specifications, the Nokia 5 comes equipped with a 5.2-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a scratch resistance 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top of the display. The internal storage of the device still remains unchanged at 16GB with an option to expand it externally through the onboard microSD card slot up to 128GB. It will probably cost a little more than the RM799 price tag of the regular Nokia 5 here in Malaysia if it were to be made available here. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. The snapper is powered by 8MP autofocus camera with a f/2.0 aperture.

Even while the HMD Global has launched the new variant for Nokia 5 with upgraded RAM, the smartphone still shipped with Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box. On the battery front, the smartphone draws its all power from a decent 3,000mAh non-removable battery. It sports a dual-tone flash, and the front camera is 8 MP with f/2.0 aperture as well. This phone was originally launched with 2 GB RAM back in June for Rs. 12999.

The phone has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and Global Positioning System.
