WWE has reportedly sent top SmackDown superstars Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn home from the company's current European tour, for disciplinary reasons.

According to ProWrestlingSheet Owens and Zayn went off script in their tussle with the New Day in SmackDown's opening segment. It led to a match between Sami Zayn and Kofi Kingston, where Kingston won with a crossbody.

Owens hit the ring as soon as the match ended and attacked Kofi as planned. This comes just weeks after Owens and Zayn received a new collective direction on SmackDown, with Zayn turning heel and restarting his old friendship with Owens. Triple H filled in for Reigns at Raw's first five stops, Kurt Angle teamed with Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose yesterday, and New Day were moved to the Raw side for their remaining dates after this week's TV. Owens and Sami then left together. The issue is the fact that Owens and Zayn were supposed to sell the beatdown to help set up a tag team match on Smackdown next week.
