49ers' Marquise Goodwin explains why he was emotional after touchdown vs Giants

In a devastating Instagram post with a picture of the baby's hand holding a finger, Goodwin wrote that his wife gave birth to the boy prematurely after a hard pregnancy.

"The pain (physically, mentally & emotionally) that she has endured is unbelievable".

The athlete concluded the post by asking for prayers: "Please pray for the Goodwin family".

Despite losing his son earlier in the day, Marquise Goodwin managed to score a touchdown helping his team to its first victory of the season.

With the defeat of the New York Giants, the 49ers' locker room was exuberant after finally notching their first win 10 weeks into the season.

In her Instagram post, Goodwin-Snow remained positive and thanked people for the support they offered throughout her pregnancy. "He had a wonderful game today". "But that's okay because we won't stop fighting and we won't give up on what God has in store for us".
