Rain chances this week

After the weekend chill, temperatures have recovered somewhat but are still at frosty levels. Wind will continue to come from the north at 10-15 miles per hour leaving us a little on the breezy side.

The models have done a particularly poor job of forecasting the cold weather in the long range - initially, it looked like November would be on the warmer side of average.

Forecasters expect near seasonal temps in the 30s 40s for most of the week with showers possible Wednesday, otherwise dry. Most of the area will not see measureable accumulation.

Rain is on its way out this afternoon but cloud cover will linger. The timing amounts and all the details will be ironed out in the coming days. Tuesday will be mild with highs up in the mid 70s.

Wednesday temperatures will increase slightly with a high in the mid-50s and a low in the low 40s, but a jacket will still be necessary to stay warm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. There could see a break in the clouds and see some sunshine by the late afternoon. This afternoon clouds will stick around for much of the day with highs struggling this afternoon hitting the mid 40s.

Thursday: Early shower, then clearing.

Today will be cloudy with a high near 51, according to the National Weather Service, and there is a chance of drizzle on Tuesday.
