Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston said Rancho Tehama School had seen a number of students airlifted to hospital, with seven people in total hospitalised. According to police, it appears that the shooter was randomly picking targets. Three other people were transported to a hospital in Redding, approximately 50 miles away.

The six-year-old child reportedly had two gunshot wounds and another child was reportedly shot in the leg.

The deputy said officers were called to at least five crime scenes.

Johnston also said "a number of students" were medically evacuated from the area, while the school was cleared. No information about their conditions was immediately available, according to a spokeswoman for the hospital, about 45 miles from the school.

LeBron James, Cavaliers ride the subway before game against Knicks
The Cavaliers are in town on Monday, so LeBron's comments should give the Knicks plenty of bulletin-board material. Conversely, the Mavericks have been outscored by 12.1 points per 100 possessions with Smith on the floor thus far.

The school has also changed the way it regulates fraternities and sororities, assuming more control over disciplinary procedures. The video showed Piazza stumbling around in the dark at several points, then disappearing from view.

Parliament to vote on Brexit deal
The Cabinet minister added it was down to political will and he was "quite certain the political will is there". And he said there would be no withdrawal agreement bill, or vote, if London can not strike a deal with Brussels.

The remaining kids who were at the school have been moved to a safe location, Johnston said. A man says his roommate is among the victims in Northern California and that his neighbor was the gunman.

Authorities have recovered a semi-automatic rifle and two handguns after the shootings in the rural subdivision described on its website as a "quiet private country community" where "the people are friendly and the pace is relaxed".

"The insane thing is that the neighbor has been shooting a lot of bullets lately, hundreds of rounds, large magazines", Flint said.

California Governor Jerry Brown said in a statement he and his wife were "saddened to hear about today's violence in Tehama County, which shockingly involved schoolchildren". "We offer our condolences to the families who lost loved ones and unite with all Californians in grief".
