Fourth person shot dead in Tampa neighborhood, possibly by serial killer

Tuesday, HART had to completely stop bus service through Seminole Heights for most of the day when police blocked off the entire neighborhood from MLK Boulevard to Hillsborough Avenue for a tense and exhaustive house to house search for the serial killer.

For almost a month, there seemed to be a reprieve from the mysterious killings that paralyzed Seminole Heights, a community in north Tampa.

Police had no motive or details about who might have carried out the killings, but they warned residents not to walk alone at night.

Police have sealed off the neighborhood and were searching for the suspect.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn urged people with information to come forward and share with the police. Police said she may have been shot one or two days before.

LaJuanda Moates opened her floral shop minutes after he was gunned down, just a block away, Then, she heard about the man she calls "Ronnie".

"It's very unfortunate here that we've had another one", Dugan said to the Tampa Bay Times. "And right now we are treating it as though it is related until we can rule otherwise".

Felton was reportedly on his way to church when someone allegedly "came up from behind and shot him", police said.

Officers have issued surveillance footage of a person of interest running from the scene where Mitchell was murdered earlier this week. He had a large black pistol and was last seen all in black.

Investigators said Ronald Felton, 60, appears to have died from a gunshot wound.

Tampa police said early Tuesday they're investigating a suspicious death in the city's Seminole Heights neighborhood.

No more than a week later, police announced they found the body of 32-year-old Monica Caridad Hoffa near the intersection of East New Orleans Avenue and North 10th Street.

Naiboa was killed October 19.

It's been a hard three weeks for HART bus riders in Seminole Heights.

He was walking home when he was killed, police said. The bus has since been rerouted, and officials have taken other measures to safeguard the community.

On Oct. 9, victim Benjamin Mitchell, 22, was waiting for a bus on North 15th Street and Frierson Avenue.

Dugan also asks every gun owner to verify their gun is still inside their home.

Fifer said his dog's incessant barking woke him up around 5 a.m. Tuesday, as police cars and helicopters converged on the neighborhood.

Authorities offering a $41,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
