Harvey Weinstein and the movie company he co-founded, The Weinstein Company, were sued in California state court on Tuesday by an anonymous actress who said she was raped by the movie producer in 2016.

Later in 2016, the woman allegedly met Weinstein again at the same hotel to "celebrate her upcoming role" in the show, "giving her the impression that she had been chosen for the part".

According to the lawsuit, the woman managed to break free and flee the room.

"Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein".

According to the suit, Weinstein and the unnamed actress met at a party at a Hollywood hotel in 2011. There, he allegedly masturbated in front of her while gripping her wrist, despite her saying "no". A crisis manager from Armenta has said they were "recently approached by a legally blind, disabled actress" who claimed Weinstein raped her in his NY office building several years ago. He then pulled down her jeans and began to give her oral sex.

Aspiring actress Dominique Huett last month also sued Weinstein Co. for negligence over an alleged sexual assault against her by the producer in 2010. The complaint said Weinstein later called the actress and "acted as if nothing happened".

Star Wars Last Jedi IMAX
Since Disney has taken over and the establishment of the Star Wars Story Group, that has all changed. Here's a more widespread spot, with a few new Rey and Finn shots in there.

In a new BBC interview (see the video) the Emmy-winning Breaking Bad actor was asked if there's a way back from disgrace for those like Weinstein and Spacey, who have both each been accused by a multitude of people of sexual harassment going back decades. The rep adds, "Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances".

Weinstein, who has been hit with allegations of sexual harassment and assault by more than 50 women, had categorically denied the claims. She claims the company knew about his method of using potential jobs to take advantage of actresses.

On Nov. 11, her attorney Alex Straus filed a motion requesting that the D.A.'s office narrow the scope of material it wanted to review, especially with regard to her therapist's records.

Weinstein was sacked from The Weinstein Company in early October after an expose was published into the claims by The New York Times. Los Angeles police are also probing for "lewd conduct" stemming from an incident in 2015, while a similar investigation is underway in Beverly Hills.

There was no immediate comment from representatives for Weinstein and his former company, The Weinstein Co., on Wednesday's lawsuit.
