From a slim volume released in 2001 by JK Rowling to benefit charity Comic Relief came last year's Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, based on the author's debut crack at screenwriting.

Fantastic Beasts 2 is no longer Fantastic Beasts 2-it's Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and now we have our first look at some of the cast, including Jude Law in action as the young Albus Dumbledore himself! Also joining the cast are a couple of talented actors you may have heard of before, playing roles you've nearly certainly heard of before. After the dark wizard Grindelwald is captured by the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA) and Newt, Grindelwald makes good on his threat and escapes custody.

Also in the photo are Callum Turner as Newt's brother, Theseus Scamander, and his fiancee, Leta Lestrange (played by Zoë Kravitz in a role she was previously photographed for in the original film).

Voldemort may have been Dumbledore's most notorious nemesis, but Grindelwald was his first white whale.

Four of the principal cast members of the first movie will be back including Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterson, Dan Fogler, and Alison Sudol.
