Credited with unearthing the likes of Christian Pulisic and Robert Lewandowski, among others, Sven Mislintat's decision to leave his role as Borussia Dortmund's Head of Professional Football to join Arsenal has caused more than a few ripples across Germany's footballing landscape.

Borussia Dortmund are set to lose their chief scout Sven Mislintat to Arsenal, but the move is not yet agreed.

Chief scout Steve Rowley has stood down after 25 years at Arsenal, and the club have turned to Mislintat as the man to take his place.

We reported last week that the German is highly respected and credited with numerous Bundesliga side's stellar signings in recent years including Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele.

Hezbollah denies providing missile fired at Saudi from Yemen
The Arab ministers held its meeting at the request of Saudi Arabia to discuss "violations" committed by Iran in the region. In a statement the party said it "rejects the description of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement as terrorist".

It was Mislintat who also recommended that Dortmund take a chance on a young Bayern Munich defender who was struggling for game-time in Bavaria; eight years later Mats Hummels returned to Bayern a World Cup victor and rated one of the finest centre-backs in the game. Mislintat and Tuchel reportedly clashed during their time working together to the point where Mislintat was even banned from the training ground.

Shinji Kagawa was similarly plucked out of Japan's J-League to star in Germany, while Dembele and Auba both jumped to worldwide stardom after being spotted by the super-scout. In 2010 he was instrumental in identifying and recruiting the then unheard of 21-year-old Shinji Kagawa from Japanese club Cerezo Osaka, travelling to the Far East six times and taping hours of video for analysis. Mislintat will be replacing Steve Rowley, a long-time ally of Wenger.

Wenger said: "We are delighted that Sven is joining us".

Mislintat has enjoyed a close relationship with Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc, but had a highly publicised falling out with former manager Tomas Tuchel a year ago after a January move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Oliver Torres collapsed. "Everyone of BVB wishes Sven all the best for his future".
