In response, Pink took to Twitter to dispute the claims.

Instead, she took to Instagram to post a picture of herself in bed.

Aguilera's medley was ambitious from the start, kicking off with "I Will Always Love You" before moving on to hits including "I Have Nothing" and "Run To You" while images from The Bodyguard played in the background.

To begin "I'm Every Woman", Aguilera invited a full choir to accompany her on stage and encouraged the audience to sing along. Some argued whether she did a good job with the performance and others questioned if she cosmetically enhanced her face.

Earlier in the show, host Tracee Ellis Ross predicted Aguilera's tribute will be "one of American Music Awards' most iconic performances". After the performance, she was quick to clear up any confusion about her feelings towards her old Lady Marmalade singing partner. Christina Aguilera performed a moving emotional tribute to the late star after a powerful introduction by Viola Davis.

She tweeted: "Christina fucking killed it tonight for one of our favorite singers ever". She then asked all of the "negative Nancy's" who were still caught up in the feud to look at "the clip where [she's] in tears".

The singers ended their famous feud a year ago. "She's a really sweet person". "We've made amends." Apparently, the AMA's didn't get the memo and they may or may not have been trying to stir up some controversy by cutting away to P!nk's reaction repeatedly during the performance. "I mean, it was amusing, I laughed".

Aguilera reportedly tried to swing at Pink in a bar. We're just very different, we're very different. "I'm used to taking my altercations physical and she's used to having them verbal. And we were very young and new".
