The White House referred TPM's request for comment to the National Security Council, which did not immediately reply.

McMaster called Trump an "idiot", a "dope" and said he has the intelligence of a "kindergartner", BuzzFeed reported, citing five unnamed sources with knowledge of McMaster's and Catz's conversation.

According to Buzzfeed, four people who heard from Catz about the conversation with McMaster, claimed she had told them that McMaster mocked Trump and also made disparaging comments about other senior members of the administration.

Oracle's senior VP for governmental affairs, Ken Glueck, also denied BuzzFeed's report, claiming that "none of the statements attributed to General McMaster were said".

Both Oracle and the Trump administration heatedly denied the comments that Catz later recounted.

According to a report by Buzzfeed, National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster ridiculed President Donald Trump during a private dinner with the CEO of Oracle. He appeared at an invite-only conference in Washington, D.C., sponsored by the Institute of the Study of War in September, and was reported to have "chuckled dismissively" when asked about Trump's tweets on North Korea.

A spokesperson for the National Security Council pushed back against BuzzFeed's account of the July dinner.

A source close to Harvey told Breitbart News earlier this year that McMaster had warned Harvey, a friend of his and a highly-respected retired colonel, to stop talking to Bannon. Oracle, the same software company whose CEO met with McMaster for the dinner in which he is alleged to have gone off on Trump.
