It seems that while the move would look like being a massive step up, Ozil would have to be careful he wasn't actually taking a step backwards - at least in terms of the time he spends on the field.

The January transfer window has not yet opened, but there are plenty of talks around Arsenal star Mesut Ozil, whose contract with the Gunners expiring by the end of the season.

He tweeted: "Barcelona were offered Mesut Ozil last summer but decided against it".

It claims that Ozil's representatives have agreed for the 29-year-old to head to the Nou Camp in the New Year, with Arsenal set to receive 20m euros for the Germany worldwide, who would have been available on a free in the summer. The 29-year-old is understood to be demanding wages in excess of £300,000-per-week.

The likes of Fenerbahce and Manchester United have also been linked with the German playmaker.

Ozil demands Barcelona offer him £330000-a-week
It remains to be seen if Barcelona would move for the Arsenal attacking midfielder in January or the summer. Ozil has under 12 months remaining on his contract and has yet to agree a new deal.

John Lennon diaries recovered
In February, a leather jacket believed to have been worn by Lennon sold for £10,400 at an auction in England. The handwritten score, signed by Paul McCartney, was due to be sold with a guide price of £20,000.

That's because the competition for places at the Camp Nou is far higher than at the Emirates, and Martin Keown thinks Ozil should think long and hard about any return to Spain.

Per the source, Messi believes Ozil would be bad business for Barcelona. Losing Ozil would represent a significant blow for Arsenal and Arsene Wenger.

In addition, there are also concerns over Ozil's physical robustness, with the ex-Wolfsburg man having missed 38 games across four-and-a-half seasons at Arsenal due to various fitness concerns.

"Yet, I do not know the club's intentions".

He played key roles in identifying players such as Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele and Shinji Kagawa for Dortmund in the past and Arsenal are expecting big things from Mislintat.
