Hearthstone's next big expansion, Kobolds & Catacombs is set to launch on December 8.

The new card is pretty strong, as card advantages are typically important in Hearthstone. The Warlock spell Lesser Amethyst Spellstone allows players to deal three damage and heal for the same amount. As a bonus, you'll also receive the For the Hoard! card. There are a total of 48 possible encounters in Dungeon Runs and three special events in the mode. Aside from winning new cards, players will be able to round out their collections by purchasing new card packs or disenchanting some of their existing cards to craft the ones they're missing.

You can pre-order 50 Kobolds and Catacombs card packs right now for the discounted price of £44.99. "Play Mode" features traditional head-to-head battles, with players facing off for a chance to increase their medal ranking and earn card packs along the way.

As announced at BlizzCon, Kobolds & Catacombs comes with 135 new cards, including new card types such as Spellstones and Unidentified items. In addition, players can score three more card packs by completing three "sequential one-time Dungeon Run quests".
