One person was killed and five others injured in a hit and run accident in Queens early Sunday.

Authorities say the people were at a hookah bar, and two people got into a fight and stabbed each other.

A New York City detective said the incident wasn't terror-related. The vehicle came "from nowhere and hit the whole group" on the sidewalk, the witness told the local media, adding that "the auto was going really fast" and he saw "bodies flying". "No, no, ' when this auto just comes from nowhere and hits the whole group", Rogers said.

Some of the injured, who were rushed to hospital, also reportedly had stab wounds. "The bodies went flying". Police are searching for the driver, who they say had his hair in a ponytail.

The stabbing victims were in stable condition. The names and ages of the people struck were not immediately available. Police still were sorting out the details, but said there was a dispute before a man drove into the people. The third was hospitalized in stable condition. He pleaded not guilty last week to terrorism charges.
