The NBA handed down suspensions for an incident in Sunday's Warriors-Heat game, where Shaun Livingston and NBA official Courtney Kirkland butted heads while Livingston argued a no-call, leading to Livingston's ejection. Livingston was upset Kirkland didn't call a foul on Tyler Johnson when attempting a shot, and the guard and referee went forehead to forehead with each other before Livingston was ejected. After getting tossed from the game, Livingston untucked his white jersey as he walked off the court. There was 6:24 left in the second quarter at the time.

While Livingston did not speak to reporters, Kirkland provided a statement to a pool reporter. Livingston will serve his suspension Monday night when the Warriors play the Pelicans. Upon league office review, it was determined that Kirkland moved toward Livingston and shared responsibility for the contact that occurred. Without Livingston, Golden State will likely only have one true point guard, Stephen Curry, available.
