Oregon's Willie Taggart will be named head coach at Florida State University, according to multiple reports.

A Florida native, Taggart spent four seasons as the coach at South Florida from 2013-16, going 24-25, and was the coach at Western Kentucky (16-20) for three seasons prior to that.

Former South Florida coach Willie Taggart is on his way back to the Sunshine State.

No word yet on when Taggert will be introduced as the new head coach in Tallahassee, though it will likely be Wednesday or Thursday.

Taggart will try to take an extremely talented roster that underachieved last season back into national title contention.

IOC suspends Russian Federation from the PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously said it would be humiliating for his country to compete without national symbols. There had been suggestions beforehand that such a punishment might lead to a wholesale Russian boycott of the Winter Olympics.

It didn't take Florida State long to react; less than a week after Jimbo Fisher's departure from the school, FSU has his replacement.

At Oregon, Taggart's team was averaging 49.6 points per game as it got off to a 4-1 start. The Seminoles' first head coaching search in 41 years-with the hiring of Bobby Bowden in 1976 and seamless transition to Fisher in 2010-has come to an abrupt end.

And now he's the Seminoles' next head coach. How long will OR take to get a new coach?

Bolden is the third decommitment for OR since the Taggart-to-Florida State rumors began, joining Lenzy and four-star athlete Tre'Shaun Harrison. Yet for certain, athletic director Stan Wilcox did his due diligence to hire the best-possible candidate for the job. He is expected to bring in several top assistants, many with ties to the state of Florida that will help with recruiting and improving from a 6-6 record this year.
