Police are responding to reports that two students were shot at Graham-Kapowsin High School in Washington.

Four schools were on lockdown as deputies investigated the shooting: Graham-Kapowsin High, Frontier Middle School, Nelson Elementary School and Graham Elementary School, according to Bethel School District spokesman Douglas Boyles.

It's unclear what the students' conditions are, but they've been taken to Tacoma General Hospital.

Deputies are seeking a green sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Impala, with multiple black males inside that may have fled the school after the shooting, Troyer said.

John Gutierrez, 41, who was driving to pick up his son from the school, said he noticed the sheriff's deputies on his way to the school and added he was asked to leave the parking lot when he arrived.

Sure, it's a violent game, but the rules expressly forbid hits like the one Smith-Schuster laid on Burfict. And that's not going to happen overnight. "I was just playing to the whistle", he said.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who recognizes the remaining suspects to call the Sheriff's Office at 253-798-7530 or Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Investigators determined that the shooting occurred during a fight just off school grounds on Eustis-Hunt Road East.

No information was reported about whether there was more than one shooter. Students at Graham Elementary were released to their bus with staff supervision, and all after-school activities at the Graham-Kapowsin High School and Frontier were cancelled. Officials say the victims ran back onto the campus after being shot.

In a prepared statement, district officials offered their " thoughts and prayers" for the students involved in the shooting and their families, and gave reassurance that students on the campus "are safe". The Bethel School District confirmed via a tweet the victims shot were indeed students from the school. Three schools remain in lockdown.

"It is scary, but I know my son is OK", he said. "We are confident that with your help we will bring swift justice and peace of mind for the hundreds of students and parents affected by today's shooting". The male students shot were hospitalized and expected to survive.
