Burnley winger Robbie Brady will have knee surgery after his injury against Leicester and will be out for "substantial time".

Brady fell awkwardly after clattering with Harry Maguire, and he was taken off by stretcher.

"It always amazes me". We look forward to seeing him, first of all just moving around the training ground and getting on with it, and then obviously when he's fit.

Dyche insists the injury to Brady will not change his approach in the January transfer window. We have a laugh, so he's definitely going to be a miss.

"He will be given all the time and care he needs on his recovery and supported throughout from all of us at Burnley Football Club".

Burnley and Watford have defied many people's expectations by maintaining their challenge for a top-six place well into the campaign.

"We are written off every year so we are used to that", he said.

"I'm fully expecting whoever we play to keep playing their part and add to what we're doing".

Brady has just been nominated for the Premier League's Player of the Month award after helping Burnley to three wins from four games, scoring the victor in a 2-1 win over Bournemouth.

"[It's] probably favourable in the sense that he came in and a number of new players came in, so he could work with them fresh, instead of with somebody else's group".

"He's got his one-liners too, he's got good stories and he sits beside me in the changing room".
