Josh McCown leaves Jets' game vs. Broncos in third quarter

"We don't know what it is going to be, but it's going to be a change".

After losing eight consecutive games the Broncos offense and defense put together a full game and downed the New York Jets 23-0.

Perfect, it wasn't. But it was respectable, efficient and much needed for a franchise that had lost its identity amid its slide.

The Jets set the tone for a futile offensive performance early on.

Leading by 13, the Broncos extended their advantage with Siemian leading a 68-yard drive that Janovich finished with a third-down plunge from 1 yard out for a touchdown. The last time they won was week 4 against the Oakland Raiders. In the 35-27 loss to the Panthers, McCown was 19-for-36 for 307 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Though he averaged only 2.2 yards per carry, the Broncos' healthy lead allowed them to pound away on the ground, a luxury they haven't had in more than two months.

McCown was replaced by Bryce Petty.

Texans QB Tom Savage returned to game against 49ers after brutal hit
He found him from seven yards out for a score before the half, and he hit him for a 29-yard touchdown just after the break. Savage was injured when he was driven to the ground on a hit by Elvis Dumervil with about nine minutes left in the second.

The Broncos looked good all day.

McCown completed 6 of 12 passes for 46 yards with one interception and no touchdowns.

Thomas was making plays deep downfield, over the middle, at the sideline, in the red zone, and on third down. McManus' final field goal in the fourth only twisted the knife. The Denver defense has been stingy, suffocating and opportunistic. Shelby Harris had a batted pass at the line and notched a sack in the first half. Last season, he attempted 133 passes while playing in six games, with four starts. Broncos defensive end Adam Gotsis recovered the fumble at the NY 20.

For the Broncos it's a return to the style of football they feel they can play every week and hopefully a sign of things to come to finish out the season.

Change may be coming in January. They were no match for the Broncos on Sunday.
