A member of President Donald Trump's legal team said Tuesday that it's time to create a second special counsel to start investigating the FBI and Department of Justice.

The texts were between counterintelligence officer Peter Strzok and agent Lisa Page.

2 official in counterintelligence, Strzok helped lead the FBI's investigation of Hillary Clinton's private email server and was involved in opening the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, but he was reassigned to the human resources division this summer. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) on Friday: "I will be challenging Rs and Ds on Senate Judiciary Committee to support a Special Counsel to investigate ALL THINGS 2016 - not just Trump and Russian Federation".

Jay Sekulow, a member of the President's legal team, tells me: "The Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation can not ignore the multiple problems that have been created by these obvious conflicts of interests". FBI Director Christopher Wray was questioned at length last week about Strzok and lawmakers have signaled similar plans for Rosenstein. They exchange digs about Trump's famous reference to the size of his hands and how that measure might refer to his sexual prowess.

During the Clinton investigation, Strzok was involved in a romantic relationship with Page, who worked for Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, according to the people familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue.

Page replies: "Yeah, that's not good".

Strzok wonders in March 2016 whether Mr. Trump would "be a worse president than (Ted) Cruz?"

Facebook Will Pay Taxes Locally
A number of technology companies have been accused of setting up elaborate structures to minimize the amount of taxes they pay. It's not clear whether this will actually have a significant impact on Facebook's existing structure.

Responding to Trump's public fight with a Gold Star family in August 2016, Page texted: "Trump should go f himself".

During the Republican convention the two colleagues engaged in running commentary on the roster of speakers, including actor Scott Baio.

"Oh hot damn, " Strzok texted.

Trump has denounced the controversial Steele dossier, although members of Mueller's team did interview him as part of their investigation.

The new demand follows a bombshell Monday report detailing that the wife of a Justice Department official who had contact previous year with the author of the Trump dossier was herself working for Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that commissioned the Trump dossier.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who has recused himself from the Russian Federation investigation, later said he asked the FBI director to make any necessary management changes to the agency.

Trump lawyers' strategy: Cooperate with Mueller, and insist publicly they have nothing to hide, and expect the president to be fully cleared early in the new year.
