It marks the latest agreement between Netflix and the USA studio since they partnered for the streamer's first children's original, Turbo: Fast, in 2013 and agreed an output deal later that year. In the show, Poppy and Branch will be voiced by Amanda Leighton ("This Is Us", "The Fosters") and Skylar Astin ("Pitch Perfect" 1 and 2), respectively.

The series will be an updated version of '80s show She-Ra: Princess of Power, a spin off of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
