While it's understood Keaton does not have a relationship with his father, a series of photos shared by White on Facebook have caused further controversy for Jones and his family. It has since been used by the Ku Klux Klan and white supremacists. With a windfall of cash and what she considers a besmirched name in the balance, Kimberly Jones did some media rounds to explain her side of the story.

But media personality Tariq Nasheed tweeted: "That viral video of #KeatonJones talking about being bullied is heartbreaking, and I feel sympathetic towards that child". But now, some people say they don't stand with the middle schooler from Tennessee, despite his moving plea. On top of that, Snopes reports that an Instagram account that claimed to represent the Jones family also popped up, and was denounced as fake on Twitter by Lakyn. "It was to raise awareness to bullying", he said.

In this society, parents are telling their kids all sorts of complicated things regarding bullying that most can't comprehend.

Bullied middle schooler Keaton Jones's dad is a white supremacist now serving a prison sentence in Knox County, Tennessee, reports TMZ. "People criticize other people for the way they look and act; it's not their fault". It said it will be working with a user named Joseph Lam, who raised US$56,166 for the bullied boy, "to ensure the funds go to Keaton". "But his mom, Kimberly on the other hand, is a suspected racist who makes very problematic posts bullying Black protesters".

In an interview with CBS This Morning on Tuesday, Kimberly Jones said the Confederate flag photos were taken out of context and were meant to be "a joke". Many now considered her the bully, just like her son was the bully.

"Condemnation before evaluation is the ultimate form of ignorance". I do 100% believe that he's been a victim of bullying and I think that's what everyone needs to focus on because that's what we can control in the world around us. I can't even say for sure that any of whats being said is true.
