Nationwide, nearly 4.7 million people have signed up for a plan this year, which is 17 percent more than the same time last year.

Deadline hour for enrollment will remain the same this year - midnight Pacific time. The Obama administration sometimes extended its final deadline for people who had started enrolling when the deadline hit.
