The first touchdown came on a five-yard pass from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to tight end Garrett Celek in the second quarter.

Gould accounted for all the San Francisco scoring other than Garoppolo's touchdown pass.

Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin had 10 catches for 114 yards for the 49ers (4-10), who won at home for just the second time this season.

The Titans trail the 49ers 16-10 at halftime here at Levi's Stadium.

With:03 left on the clock, Gould launched his game-winning, 45-yard field goal, which he started celebrating even before it cleared the cross bar and got him hoisted onto teammates' shoulders at midfield.

In the fourth quarter the Titans took their first lead when Mariota hit Rishard Matthews for an 8 yard touchdown and a 20-13 lead.

He went 5-for-5 on field goals, the second time during the 49ers' three-game winning streak that Gould has gone 5-for-5.

On the next series, DeForest Buckner sack's on first down put the Titans in a hole that they could not get out of, and they were forced to punt.

Mistakes again cost the Titans early as Delanie Walker dropped a touchdown pass from Marcus Mariota and then fumbled setting up the 49ers final score of the half.

The Titans opened the second half with a long drive and a 31 yard Ryan Succop field goal to make it a 16-13 game.

However, three of San Francisco's four scoring drives resulted only in field goals, allowing the Titans to stay within striking distance. Then Jimmy Garoppolo became their starting quarterback.

The Titans, limited to 57 yards to that point, went 79 yards in just six plays in their rally-igniting drive to Walker's touchdown catch that made it a 16-10 game at halftime.

The Titans fell to 8-6, but they still have a shot in the AFC playoff race. That game will complete San Francisco's home schedule next week.
