Samsung has announced the new Exynos 9 Series 9810 Soc built on its second-generation 10nm FineFET process technology. Samsung is also tapping neural networks to improve deep learning algorithms, meaning Exynos 9810-powered devices will be even better at recognizing people and specific elements in photos. ideal for the Central Intelligence Agency. I mean, a bunch of S9 units will run the Snapdragon 845, whereas another chunk will run on Samsung's Exynos 9810 platform, and that could get, umm... rather confusing.

According to Samsung, the new architecture widens the pipeline and improves cache memory, resulting in twice the performance in the single-core department and up to 40 percent in the multi-core department.

Samsung has just taken the wraps off its next-generation Exynos 9810 system-on-chip, which is likely to power overseas models of its upcoming Galaxy S9 smartphones. That includes recognizing faces as well, and Samsung explicitly mentions the technology in the context of scanning faces in 3D for the purposes of unlocking devices and enabling face tracking filters. As for construction, the SoC consists of four four custom cores which can reach the speed of 2.9 Ghz at max and another 4 Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.9 Ghz.

The LTE modem in the Exynos 9810 makes it much easier to broadcast or stream videos at up to UHD resolution, or in even newer visual formats such as 360-degree video.

Attorney General Rescinds Obama-Era Marijuana Guidelines
The move by Sessions is likely to create questions in states where it is legal to buy, use and grow marijuana. Much of the United States has already made significant legal progress toward ending marijuana prohibition.

Flu cases on the rise in Southwest Florida
The flu is spreading faster than usual, and for older adults, health officials say it's crucial to take extra precautions. Dukes says it isn't too late to get a shot since flu season can run well into the spring in Oklahoma.

Hot air balloon crashes in Egypt, 1 tourist killed
The incident was caused by strong winds that forced the balloon off its course above the city's temples and tombs. The deadliest balloon crash in history occurred in February 2013 in Luxor, when 19 people were killed.

On the modem side, Exynos 9810 SoC comes with LTE CAT-18 modem with 1.2Gbps download and 200Mbps upload, with 6x carrier aggregation for download, 4x4 MIMO, and 256-QAM. Following the successful launch of the industry's first 1.0 gigabits per second (Gbps) LTE modem previous year, Samsung again leads the industry with the first 1.2Gbps LTE modem embedded in Exynos 9810.

Compared to its predecessor's 5CA, this new modem delivers more stable data transfers at blazing speed.

Not only will multimedia experiences on mobile devices with Exynos 9810 be faster, but they will also be more immersive, thanks to a dedicated image processing and upgraded multi-format codec (MFC). Samsung says that the technology will help the processor to accurately recognise people or items in pictures for fast image searching. For reference, Apple iPhone X (A11 Bionic processor) supports maximum of 120 fps slow motion recording in full-HD resolution.
