Real, who are 14 points adrift of leaders Barcelona with a game in hand, will be without defender Sergio Ramos due to a calf problem, suspended right back Dani Carvajal plus injured striker Karim Benzema for Sunday's testing trip to Celta Vigo.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane says that he has no "need" for a new goalkeeper, despite reports that the club are on the verge of signing Kepa Arrizabalaga.

"Until the 31st [of January] we will see, but not at the moment, why?"

Gareth Bale was one of a handful of Real first team regulars on display at the Estadio Los Pajaritos, and was on hand to slot home the first from the penalty spot ten minutes before the break after Lucas Vazques was clumsily brought down in the box by Carlos Gutierrez.

But it was not good enough for Madrid as Celta equalised in the 82nd minute via Maxi Gomez after Iago Aspas had his penalty saved 10 minutes earlier.

The draw was Madrid's third consecutive LaLiga stalemate away from home - extending their winless run on the road to four matches.
