Although things have been keep quiet, Intel has now listed the specs for its Core-G series with RX Vega M graphics. The new Intel NUC systems offer users up to 3 times the gaming performance when compared to the older Skull Canyon NUC systems launched a year ago.

Intel is launching two different variants of the new Radeon chipset, one meant for laptops while the other is for slightly more powerful desktops. This implies titles like Vermintide 2 would now be able to be played in high-determination in a hurry.

In the mobile field, AMD also revealed two new entries, in the form of the Ryzen 3 (2200U) and Ryzen 3 Pro (2300U) chips, both packing Vega graphics.

While this is the first laptop out of the blocks to rock the new Intel and AMD mashup chips, to make things awkward for consumers HP has a version with a Coffee Lake Intel Core i chip and a discrete Nvidia GeForce 150 graphics card.

AMD CTO and SVP Mark Papermaster shared updates on AMD's process technology roadmaps for both x86 processors and graphics architectures. Great for VR enthusiasts and workload-heavy content creators, it will be Intel's smallest premium VR-capable system in the market, according to Intel.

This new series of processors is designed for use within integrated systems, such as AIOs, notebooks and NUCs.

GeForce Experience Gets New Freestyle, Ansel Features
Freestyle is set to debut on January 9 with support for as many as 100 titles, expanding to a larger number in the near future. The free software is now capable of running more than 160 games at maximum visual settings, at up to 120 fps.

The devices launching with this processor include the new thin and lightweight 2-in-1s from Dell and HP as well as the most powerful NUC Intel has ever introduced.

The chips also use something called an Embedded Multi-Die Interconnect Bridge, which allows for faster communications between the CPU, GPU and dedicated GDDR5 graphics memory. The EMIB works like a smart high-speed information bridge between the GPU and HBM2.

Last year, Intel and AMD made its rumored collaboration official, with Intel announcing that the upcoming Core-G series processors would be paired with graphics from AMD. More can be expected from the American Multinational Corporation on the high-end performance notebook segment and the Core H-series.

A variety of new 8th Gen Intel Core devices will be on display at Intel's CES booth, #100048 in Central Hall South at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The 8th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro™ platform will be introduced as an exclusive business platform.

Intel is offering two configuration for the new chip.
