Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte will escape censure by the Football Association over their increasingly acrimonious war of words, with the governing body now having no plans to intervene in the row between the Manchester United and Chelsea managers, sources have told ESPN FC.

In 2016, Conte was cleared by a court of any wrongdoing in the matter.

"I swear, as captain of the football club, I was there thinking: 'Why has he not spoken to me?' I said to the physio: 'I'm training tomorrow". It's a problem between me and him.

The 48-year-old Italian went further, questioning Mourinho's show of solidarity to Claudio Ranieri following the Italian's sacking by Leicester City in 2017, when he wore the initials "CR" on his shirt.

"I don't know [when he can play], it's very hard to say now".

When asked whether the LMA contacted either manager, Conte said: "I think it's not important, the association, you understand".

He told BBC Radio 5 live: "When is the game against United?"

Jardim braced for Lemar bids
The Daily Mirror reports that Arsenal have made Thomas Lemar their No. 1 target if Alexis Sanchez leaves the club. Jardim said , " We do not typically sell players in the winter transfer window ".

But when mention was made of the accusations against Conte, Mourinho said: "Did he? We both said these things and we'll see what happens in the future".

Conte added: "He offended Ranieri for his English".

"We know especially in an away game it's a bit more hard than a home game".

"It's very important in this moment of the season to have all the squad in the best physical form, because you have to play a lot of games and everyone must be ready". When you become older there is this type of risk.

Conte's stance ensures that all eyes will be on the Old Trafford touchline when Chelsea take on United in the Premier League on February 25, but the Italian has a more pressing challenge to navigate first as he prepares for a two-legged Carabao Cup semifinal tie against Arsenal. You are fake, you are fake. Me and him, face to face. I can't have the manager not speaking to me.' He knew exactly what he was doing.

"Also if he wants to try to change his behaviours ... but the person's this, Mourinho's this. And then after two years you try to help this person, because maybe it's good for you, for your profile".
