McLachlan has vehemently denied allegations of harassment and bullying female cast members during the 2014 production of The Rocky Horror Show, in which he starred as the lead character Frank N Furter.

Another unnamed actress claims there is "another side" to McLachlan that the public doesn't see.

McLachlan has strenuously denied all the claims made against him and told the ABC he considered them "to the best of his knowledge, utterly and entirely false".

"Frankly, they seem to be simple inventions, perhaps made for financial reasons, perhaps to gain notoriety", he said.

McLachlan has been replaced by understudy Adam Rennie for the remaining Adelaide shows, with a decision on a longer-term replacement to be made before seasons in Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne. "We have spoken to Craig and have mutually agreed it is not appropriate for him to continue in the current production of the show", a statement from producers The Gordon Frost Organisation read.

They have vowed to co-operate fully with authorities and will also conduct an internal investigation.

But Scundi told the 7.30 Report on Tuesday that was "untrue".

Two of the women reportedly complained to senior production staff, but nothing was done.

Whelan-Browne, who played Janet in the production, claims McLachlan inappropriately touched her on stage during a sexually charged scene on a bed.

But several fans were upset McLachlan had pulled out. I risked my career.

She said when she confronted him about the unwanted kiss, he abused and threatened her. 'That's why I bought tickets in the first place'.

GFO said the allegations would "not affect the production across Australia", with the show to continue in accordance with the current schedule.

Scundi alleged McLachlan kissed her passionately onstage even after she had asked that it not be done. The production is now showing in Adelaide with McLachlan in the starring role.

Now in Adelaide in support of the 2018 production of Rocky Horror Show, McLachlan slammed the allegations in an email statement as "baseless" and said "they seem to be simple inventions, perhaps made for financial reasons, perhaps to gain notoriety".
