UNCG's Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) ranks No. 11 nationally in the latest U.S. News & World Report listing of "Best Online Master's in Nursing Programs".

"Our online business programs offer students an affordable, high quality, relevant education that attracts students from throughout the Pacific Northwest and worldwide", said Chip Hunter, dean of Carson College.

Now in its seventh year, the U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs are a resource for students and working adults in search of an online education for degree completion and career advancement.

Indiana University Bloomington ranks the highest among Indiana institutions, tying for second alongside Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

Data is gathered by a statistical survey and analyzed based on student services and technology, peer reputation, student engagement, faculty credentials and training and admissions selectivity. "Rankings provide us one measure of progress and success toward achieving our goal of delivering strong academics and creating robust learning environments for our remote students". Only degree-granting programs at regionally accredited institutions that are offered predominantly online were considered.

"The recognition from U.S. News & World Report speaks to our student-centered approach", said UNCG School of Nursing Dean Robin Remsburg. This is the program's fourth consecutive year on the list.
