President Winfrey? No way, says Trump: 'I'll beat Oprah'

Oprah Winfrey's best friend, Gayle King, is putting to rest the reports that Oprah Winfrey is planning a presidential run. I think, if she'd do it, she'd be fantastic.

But King did acknowledge a glimmer of hope for those dreaming of an Oprah bid: "I do think she's intrigued by the idea".

"Whether she likes it or not, you are attached, you are an entity, you're no longer one person", McCain scolded. Speaking after a bipartisan meeting, a reporter asked the former host of The Apprentice whether or not he thinks he stands a chance next to Oprah if she chooses to run for office in the next election.

Speculation about Winfrey's own political ambitions are mounting after she delivered a powerful speech at the Golden Globe awards on Sunday night, weaving stories of racial and gender injustice into a hopeful narrative that many argued read like a political stump speech.

"Yeah, I'll beat Oprah" he said, before adding that he didn't think the fellow billionaire was going to run, but that she "would be a lot of fun".

Oprah's presidential history also extends to the previous administration.

The film, which reportedly cost $90 million, has also added about $275 million overseas, for a worldwide total of $519.4 million. And remember, just because this movie has "last" in the title somewhere doesn't mean it's the last film in the franchise.

Salvadorans make up the largest share of immigrants protected by the program, and all of them have lived in the United States since at least 2001.

"I want all the girls watching here and now to know that a new day is on the horizon", she said to a standing ovation.

Last fall Winfrey dismissed the notion of running for president.

If Winfrey did run, it would be an interesting matchup, considering her opponent is such a huge fan of hers.

During a 2008 stump speech for Obama in Iowa, Winfrey said she's voted for candidates on both sides of the aisle. "And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say "me too" again!" she said in the speech. I mean, that's what I'm saying. "She would absolutely do it". "Just saw @Oprah's empowering and inspiring speech at last night's #GoldenGlobes".

"Over the years, I've voted for as many Republicans as I have Democrats, so this isn't about partisanship for me, this is very, very personal", she said.
