Google is said to plan vetting of YouTube premium videos

YouTube has officially dropped Logan Paul as a preferred ad partner and begun removing him from projects in the wake of the controversy surrounding his "Suicide Forest" video. He was supposed to star in a new YouTube movie called The Thinning: New World Order, a sequel to the film YouTube and Paul released two years ago. YouTube initially issued the video a "strike" for violating their terms of service, but have now chose to take a more drastic set of actions against Logan Paul. The scandal started shortly after Logan posted the clip on his YouTube channel, his subscribers accusing him of being insensitive and posting trash content for click-bait purposes.

YouTube prohibits violent or gory content posted in a shocking, sensational or disrespectful manner, the company says. Although the video was removed within 24 hours, it managed to garner over 1 million views and the viewer expressed disappointment on uploading such an eye-hurting video on YouTube.

"Through its decision to cut ties with Logan Paul, YouTube is sending a clear message to influencers that they will be held responsible for their actions and that they need to think twice before sharing content that could be considered offensive or inappropriate", Dahan said in an email.
