Chicago Bears introduce Matt Nagy as team's 16th head coach

If Arizona hires Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur to be the Cardinals' new coach, it seems likely he would bring Vic Fangio to be his defensive coordinator. The Browns ranked sixth in kickoff return average against (21.8), seventh in the National Football League in punt return average (9.9), ninth in total kick return yards (8,974) and 10th in total return yards allowed (7,627) during that time.

Helfrich becomes the second coordinator to be hired after the Bears named Chris Tabor as special teams coordinator on Wednesday.

Helfrich began his coaching career as running backs coach at Southern Oregon in 1996 before playing and serving as offensive coordinator in Europe with the Vienna (Austria) Vikings in 1997. The Cardinals might want to retain Bettcher with their new head coach in the event he is not promoted and potentially could appease him with a pay raise. His coaching staff seems likely to take shape fairly quickly, and on Thursday morning ESPN's Adam Schefter reported former OR head coach Mike Helfrich is coming aboard as offensive coordinator. Only if he had somehow stolen special-teams guru Dave Toub from the Chiefs could Nagy have done much better.

Nagy will call offensive plays as Bears' head coach, but Helfrich will surely have a key role in game planning and working with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

Saban Wins His 6th National Championship
He also spent two seasons in the National Football League coaching the Miami Dolphins, going 15-17 before joining Alabama in 2007. If ESPN and Rinaldi had not attempted to talk to Hurts, they would have been shying away from the biggest story of the night.

Injuries: Antonio Brown leaves practice with illness
We don't have a lot of reservations about him from a physical health standpoint. Antonio Brown's calf is good to go. That is a legitimate question.

Alabama expected to land Toyota, Mazda plant
Since the beginning of past year , companies have announced about $3.2 billion in investments toward Alabama's auto industry. USA new vehicle sales fell 2 percent in 2017, after hitting a record high in 2016, and are expected to fall further in 2018.

Nagy still has several coaching positions to fill, but Fangio's return is somewhat of a clincher.

He takes over a 5-11 team that missed the playoffs for the seventh straight season and hasn't finished above.500 since Lovie Smith got fired after going 10-6 in 2012.

Dickerson covers the Chicago Bears for ESPN's NFL Nation. When Fangio was with the 49ers, he had 10 players combine for 19 Pro Bowl berths in his four seasons.

Fangio has been available since Tuesday.
